Storage location management
With a growing warehouse, not only the number of items usually increases, but a dynamic in the range of items often arises. Items are regularly removed from the range, substituted for substitutes and the warehouse is expanded to include completely new products.
If you want to avoid the regular re-arrangement of the entire warehouse, the ascending article sequence in the warehouse can no longer be maintained.
The departure from this simple principle of order means that the person picking must be supported by the indication of a storage location. This is now done by means of precise storage location management at the article level.
In most cases, warehouse management software is now in operation.
