Monitoring in intralogistics
In order to meet market requirements and ensure competitiveness, logistics and intralogistics companies rely on monitoring. This includes the digital analysis of transport and warehouse processes as well as the evaluation of specific key figures, for example in combination with production data acquisition.
Nowadays, if a company wants to keep an eye on its material and information flows throughout the entire logisticschain (supply chain), continuous analysis of the processes is essential. This analysis is based on key performance indicators(KPIs), which are obtained from various sources in conjunction with other information that maps the entire value creation process, from the extraction of raw materials through the processing stages to the end consumer. In intralogistics, this data and warehouse KPIs are visualized at the so-called control station , with the aforementioned production data acquisition often serving as the data basis.
Monitoring as continuous monitoring of processes
Measurable processes automatically provide the system with individual key figures and thus the respective degree of fulfillment of the actual objective of the process. Monitoring is therefore the display of status messages and results, which are continuously sent and displayed. The control station, for example, serves as a platform for this. A responsible employee can immediately see possible problems and their causes using the graphical display.
The aim of monitoring is to find and optimize weak points through continuous process monitoring and thus secure and further expand competitive advantages.
