In the (Sorter) Packing Department business process, the goods are sorted, allocated to the various customer orders, and packaged. Using relevant warehouse metrics, the control center can be monitored and the performance of the sorting (packing) area can be measured.

For the control center, the following data from this process is relevant: work progress monitoring, the status of the tray buffer, the proportion of consolidated packages, the timing of batch picking, and information on when replenishment ends.
Key performance indicators (KPIs) for express batches, work progress, error volume handling, daily batch allocation, and staffing levels proportional to output play a role in measuring packing department targets.

The recipients of these KPIs are the logistics manager, the warehouse manager, and sales staff.
