Operating data acquisition

Operating data includes data from organizational and technical areas of a company. This includes, on the one hand, order data and personnel data and, on the other hand, machine data and process data. The accumulation of this data is known as operating data collection. The data can then be evaluated using key figures. The Process Performance Indicator System (PPIS) method was developed to carry out such a key figure survey. The key figures to be distinguished here are the Key Performance Indicator (KPI), the Business Process Performance Indicator (BPPI) and the Process Performance Indicator (PPI).

Manual and automatic operating data collection

An operating data collection (BDE) refers to the collection of data from an actual state in the areas of production and logistics. For manual data collection, lists that are filled with the corresponding content are sufficient. Automatic data collection requires operating data collection systems and machine data collection systems.

The current processing and the current result status can be seen in the preparation of the operating data collection. Based on control center functions, data is taken from the existing system and processed graphically. However, the preparation can also be carried out on the basis of production planning and control systems (PPS).
