A Forklift truck is an industrial truck used primarily for lifting and moving pallets. Its defining feature is that the load is picked up and transported outside the wheelbase. To prevent the forklift from tipping over the front axle, the load must be balanced by a counterweight. The forklift is powered by an engine (gas, diesel, or battery) and features a hydraulic lift mast. There are two types of chassis: three-wheel and four-wheel.
