Would you like to start your professional life directly after graduating from high school, but at the same time, you don’t want to give up your future opportunities to study? Then the StudiumPLUS at TUP is the right choice for you. After four and a half years you will have your Bachelor’s degree in computer science in your pocket and additionally a completed vocational training as an IT specialist in the field of application development. With this combined study model, you will save at least one and a half years compared to an apprenticeship with subsequent studies.
Requirements for the StudiumPLUS are a good to very good degree of the general or subject-related university entrance qualification, enjoying programming, the ability to work in a team as well as initiative and independence.
The structure of the study program
The theoretical part:
In the theoretical phases you will attend the lectures of the computer science program at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. There you will acquire a wide range of theoretical knowledge in the field of computer science, which you can then apply directly in the practical phases. The hands-on part:
During the practical phases you will complete your training at our company in Stutensee near Karlsruhe.
During the practical training you will gain various insights into the software world of intralogistics and get to know different programming languages, databases and operating systems. In addition, you will familiarize yourself with the individual in-house TUP software and will soon be able to supervise smaller sub-projects yourself. Your training at StudiumPLUS is practice-oriented and academic. Practical phases alternate with theoretical units at the university.
Your thesis
You will complete your StudiumPLUS in the 7th theory semester with a subject-specific bachelor thesis. You can count on our expert supervision!
